Tracy Foster Counselling
All about you!
Are you having to cope with anxiety, relationship issues, life changes, loss, depression, OCD, intrusive/obsessional thoughts, change, or perhaps you are not feeling as you'd like?
Thoughts and feelings can be overwhelming. I’m here to support you without bias or judgement.
Why not consider a short free no obligation session?
I believe that establishing a confidential, trusting, non-judgmental and respectful relationship is vital to counselling. This is why I offer our first session free and without obligation. This gives us a chance to meet face to face to briefly discuss what it is that has brought you to counselling. You can ask any questions you might have. It allows me to be clear on how I work, what counselling is and isn't, and how we might move forward to create positive change.
I work with empathy, honesty, kindness, humility and creativity when appropriate.
I believe in therapy being a collaborative experience and I am respectful and mindful of the uniqueness of every individual. My approach uses a blend of theories and methods to suit you and your situation.

A little about me
I decided to study counselling after experiencing it myself and recognizing the benefits that increased self-awareness brings. After years of study, I run a private practice based from my home in Weybridge in Surrey where I have a dedicated counselling room that provides a calm, safe and private space.
I am a Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) which is the professional association for counselling in the UK. The most significant thing about this is that you know I am fully trained and qualified and work by certain professional rules. In other words, I abide by the BACP Ethical Framework and full details can be viewed by following this link.
I am also a qualified and practicing Cruse Bereavement Volunteer and Supervisor. Cruse is the leading national charity for bereaved people and offers support to those that are grieving. I also trained with Relate and work with couples. For the dog lovers among you, I have a small very friendly dog who likes nothing more than to sit with clients and hopefully get a belly rub. I usually keep him in another room, but if you'd be comforted with a canine companion in your session then he is more than willing.
My approach is Integrative, meaning I blend different theories such as Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Systemic, Narrative, Existential, and Transactional Analysis, to best suit you and your individual needs.
